LED Binary Clock - not so good in the middle of the night!

It’s easy for any self-respecting geek to figure out how to read this clock in a few minutes. Check out the image below for the details. Still don’t get it? Then you probably shouldn’t buy one, should you? Sure you could wing it and ‘approximate’ the time based on the position of the sun and act like you can read this clock, but you should probably go get one of these instead.

A binary time-piece

This watch displays time in binary format. It uses LED lights to display the time.  The watch face contains 10 red LEDs that are used to indicate the numbers of the binary sequence (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32) and the values of the lighted LEDs are added to determine the time. There are two rows of LEDs - the top row for the hours and the bottom row for the minutes. With a little practice you can learn to read this time format easily. Won’t it be fun the next time someone asks you “what time is it?” and you can enjoy their bewildered expression when you flash your wrist emblazoned with glowing binary? iPhone launch date revealed

Apple has confirmed that its much-anticipated iPhone product will launch on 29 June in the US. The date was given in a series of TV adverts broadcast on Sunday, and was later confirmed by a spokesman for the California-based company.

The device, which combines the features of a mobile phone and personal digital assistant, will sell for $499 (£251) and $599, depending on configuration.

The adverts on sunday showed off several of the gadget’s features, including surfing the net, watching videos and scrolling through e-mails using a finger as a pointer.

They ended with the news that the phone would be available “Only on the new AT&T” and “Coming June 29″.

The Pong Dress

The Pong Dress is the creation of artists Max Moswitzer and Magarete Jahrmann of the Ludic Society.

The classic video game Pong is implemented on a 5×7 LED screen worked into the front of the dress. Two pixels on the right and left borders form the paddles; a single pixel is the “ball” moving back and forth.

At hip level, two retro-style game console controllers are plugged in to play the game. Every time a point is scored, the green score display at chest level blinks.
